The Samsung UN55D7000 is one of Samsung's 2011 3D television offerings. This TV comes with 2D to 3D conversion, and it is compatible with Bluetooth shutter glasses. Not only that, it has Dolby digital, a great contrast and aspect ratio, Internet connectivity, and a widescreen display. The UN55D7000 is very thin and attractive, and its price point makes it easier for all consumers to get the 3D experience. The 3D & 2D picture in Samsung UN55D7000 is spectacularly real and clear thanks to many new improvements.There are new 3D glasses available with this Samsung UN55D7000, which can go over your normal glasses. the glasses also using Bluetooth instead of infra-red, charges in less than 3 hours and will work more than 40 hours on one charge. the glasses are much more light in weight, flexible, user-friendly and comfortable than the older active shutter glasses.

The Samsung UN55D7000 series is internet ready with Samsung Apps and Web Browser (broadband service required) which will give you access to Netflix (with subscription), Youtube, Facebook, Blockbuster, Hulu Plus, Twitter, Sports and more. Just plug in an ethernet cable, or use the Built-in wireless Wifi. The UN55D7000 has a Skype app, which allows users to make Skype-to-Skype calls to friends and family right through the set. There is also a built-in digital video recorder, and programs can be saved to a USB drive. The various color enhancement features offer true-to-life color, and you can transfer videos and pictures from your PC or smartphone. What's more, there is an input that allows you to use the set as a PC monitor. The UN55D7000’s thin bezel utilizes Samsung’s “virtually edgeless” screen design. The black bezel is framed by a transparent edge bezel utilizing Samsung’s award-winning Crystal design based on dual-injection mold technology.

Although the Samsung UN55D7000 is way cheaper than the UN55D8000 – the official price stands on 3200USD, it still considered to be an expensive TV. This TV is simply amazing not only from a design standpoint but also feature-wise. Indeed, it's so thin and light that I was able to hand carry the box by myself. I was able to install it almost alone (my wife helped me a bit just to avoid damaging it).
